House, now 2 cottages. Early C19, converted C20. 2 storeys in coursed rubble stone, with rendered facade and pantile roof with 2 brick stacks. South, street front has 2 windows. Ground floor has pair of central doorways, that to right inserted C20, both with plain stone lintels, that to left has part glazed 4-panel door and that to right mid-C20. To right a sash with glazing bars and to right a former 3-light window with modern window and stone lintel with incised keystone.

Nos 35-37 (consec), Mount Royd. 38-40 (consec), St Joseph's Presbytery, Roman Catholic Church of St Joseph, Church Hall and Nos 44 to 47 (consec) form a group of which Nos 35-37 and Mount Royd are buildings of local interest.
