Farmhouse, probably early C18, now house. Coursed sandstone rubble with
quoins, slate roof with gable chimneys, gable copings and kneelers.
Large double-pile 2-bay plan; with 2 single-bay low 2-storey additions
at right end, each set back and stepped down (with stone slate roofs)
and a long single-storey rear extension: all these with gable chimneys.
Two storeys and attic, almost symmetrical; doorway offset right of centre
has moulded surround and large lintel, and there is a 2-light window at
1st floor above this; otherwise, 2 windows each floor, 5 lights to the
left, 4 lights to the right, all with slightly recessed narrow stone
mullions and the lower with simple hoodmoulds. Additions to right have
1st floor windows of 3 and 2 lights, garage doors below. Left return wall
has some similar windows on all floors, rear has one at 1st floor of 2nd
bay, another in side of extension. Interior: original staircase with splat
balusters; one large kingpost roof truss; exceptionally large stone
fireplace in back wall of rear extension.
