Cottage in row. Early C19 facade, but possibly older work behind. Ham stone ashlar facade, coursed rubble to gables;
thatched roof with stepped coped west gable, continuation to east, stone slab chimney stack. Two storeys, 3 bays. Sash
windows in plain openings, 16-pane to outer bays and 12-pane to upper bay 2: to lower bay 2 a 6-panel door with
toplights set in beaded surround under flat stone hood on corbel brackets, with additional hood mould above: doorway to
basement, bay 3 has chamfered mouldings and suggests earlier work. Interior not seen. About 1.5 metre south of house a
low stone wall in near-ashlar, with cast iron rail fence set on, the 2 rails being about 300mm and 600mm above wall,
with simple uprights at about 1.5 metre intervals, with returns to doorway, all adding to setting of house and to the
streetscene.
