Part of a range of 24 cottages designed by Sir Thomas Jackson and built by him end his
father in 1878-82 as a housing experiment for working class people in a high class
residential area. This is the only detached house in the scheme. 2 storeys and attics,
stuccoed with red brick dressings. Overhanging eaves stepped up in bands. Tiled roofs
with dormer windows. Casement windows.
