GV II
House, probably mill. Early C18 with alterations. Sandstone rubble with
quoins, ashlar dressings and boulder plinth; roof of graduated Lakeland slate
and porch roof of Welsh slate. 3 storeys, 2 wide bays and left front porch
attached to corner. Renewed double 6-panel doors in central gabled porch; C20
casements with lattice leading inserted in ground and first floors, with part
of stone surrounds surviving, and on top floor in plain stone surrounds.
Steeply-pitched roof has 2 banded stone end chimneys on plinths. Right return
has blocked 3-light stone-mullioned window with mullions removed and chamfered
surround. Very thick walls. Interior not inspected.
