House. Late C16, extended C17 and early C19. Timber frame, clay lump to
later additions, plastered. Thatched roof with black glazed pantiles on later
addition. Probably 2 early bays with two 1 bay additions to right. 1 storey
and attic, 2 storeys to later bay. 3 earlier bays appear as 1 build with a
central entrance in a pantiled gabled porch, inner half glazed and half
panelled architraved door, to left a 2-light glazing bar casement, to right a
12 pane fixed window, three 2-light gabled dormers. 2 cross axial ridge
stacks, rebuilt in white brick with oversailing red brick ornamented caps,
that to left is between 2 apparently early bays, that to right is later and
external to early build in C17 bay. Left end has a small ground floor
extension with an architraved glazing bar sash, first floor 2-light casement,
bargeboards. Projecting forward to right is C19 addition, inner return has an
early 16 pane fixed window, a cross casement and a sham gable, flat roof; an
entrance to front. Right return has slightly further projecting gable end
with architraved French windows. To rear continuous clay lump and pantiled
lean-to outshut additions, a 2-light tiled gabled dormer. Interior: frame
largely concealed, some close studding.
