House. Early to mid C18. Coursed dressed sandstone, roof of composition
tiles. Rectangular double-depth plan. Two storeys and 5 bays, symmetrical,
in simple classical style; rusticated quoins, 1st floor band; central doorway
with moulded architrave, moulded cornice on scrolled consoles; 4 windows at
ground floor and 5 above, all 4-pane sashes, with plain raised surrounds
except that in centre of 1st floor, which has a moulded sill and an
architrave matching that of the doorway below. Moulded gutter cornice, gable
chimneys and gable copings with kneelers.
Good example of its type and date, with modest dignity.
