Sunday school, and attached house. School dated 1864 above doorway. Coursed
squared sandstone, slate roof. Rectangular plan. Single-storey, 1 x 6 bays;
entrance front in north gable wall has round-headed doorway with double doors
and fanlight, above this a datestone inscribed
"BAPTIST SABBATH
SCHOOL
1864"
Gable chimney. Sides have round-headed windows of 9 panes, fanlights with
radiating glazing bars (those on west side part boarded at time of survey,
1986). House attached at south end, of 2 storeys and 2 bays, facing south,
has in its gable wall next to the junction with the school an arched doorway
(to a recessed porch) with rusticated long-and-short quoins carried round the
arch, and 2 round-headed windows at 1st floor with glazing matching that of
the school; the south front has 2 segmental-headed sashed windows on each
floor. Gable chimneys and gable copings. Single-storey 2-bay extension to
the left, with similar windows.
