Was originally Little Harwood Hall. Stone, C17 and Cl8. South front (now the
rear) shows 2 gabled Jacobean wings of coursed stone and quoins, with 3 storeys
of mullioned windows (west gable has 6-light, 5-light and 2-light, the east gable
has 5-light, 4-light and 2-light, all with moulded stone mullions with fillets).
Centre space between the wings is now built up with modern addition. North front
(present main facade) was added in C18, same overall height but only 2 storeys,
scored stucco, quoins, Tuscan doorway with fluted frieze and broken pediment
and traceried round-arched fanlight. Modern sash windows in 3,1,3, arrangement,
the centre having its own quoins and gable/pediment. Low extension to east in
same style, connects with curved wall about 7 ft high with flat capping and 2
square piers with fluted frieze and cornice. This joins the house to the coach-house
which is also of stone with quoins, with modern garage doors and 3 roundels above,
and with projecting wings.
