Early C17 house, moated, reconstructed early C18 (said to be circa 1730 by David
Gansell) and refronted circa 1800. Red brick with parapet front, 2 storeys,
attics and basements red plain tile roof, hipped east and west. The west front
has 5 window range of double hung sashes with glazing bars, the south side has
a 3 window range with modern "Georgian" entrance door with hood. Good internal
detailing with early C18 staircase with twisted balusters and moulded handrail.
