Pair of cottages. Probably late C18. Local stone rubble cut and squared, No 25 colourwashed; mansard roof with plain clay tiles over base courses of stone slate, plain gables; brick end chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 1 bay each house. Entrance doors to left of bays in voussoired segmental arched openings, No 25 a 4-panel part glazed, and No 27 a 6-flush panel door; to ground floor each bay a small one storey angled bay window with 8-pane sashes to each face, and lead flat roofs; above are 2-light small pane casement windows.
Interior not seen.
No 27 was the "Hit and Miss Inn" around 1830 (Sweetman G, History of Wincanton, c1904).
