Horse engine shed, barn and stables. Mid C19. Red brick, plain tiled
roofs. Range of farm buildings on west side of farmyard. Horse engine shed.
Half octagonal in plan, attached to barn. Originally open on south and
west sides, the spaces between the supporting brick piers are now infilled
with C20 brick (except for north-south access route to west of barn) and
have inserted windows; pointed wooden finial to conical roof. Machinery-
does not survive. Barn. Air vents in rows on west side, blind round
headed arch extending to eaves, dentilled eaves cornice. Four bays with
loft at north end; wide entrance (blocked and lowered) to south on west
side. Stables. Attached to south end of barn. Air vents in rows to
north on west side, dentilled eaves cornice. Blind arcade of three round
headed arches to eaves with inserted doors and windows; wide entrance
on east side. INTERIOR has two former loose boxes sub-divided into stalls
with racks and troughs. The barn and stables are included for group value
with the horse engine house.
