House formerly a farmhouse and inn. Early Mid C18 with C19 alterations.
Coursed limestone rubble with freestone and ashlar dressings. Collyweston
stone slated roofs. Two storeys with attics, L-plan with lean-to in angle and
lower range to north. Parapet gables with chamfered copings and end stacks
each with two ashlar shafts; moulded corbels continued as moulded wooden
eaves cornices with modillions; ashlar band between floors. C19 gabled open
porch and glazed panelled door, two large ground floor and three first floor
sixteen-paned recessed hung sash windows with C19 chamfered lintels. C17
windows in side elevation possibly reused from the hall demolished in c.1730.
Interior: Staircase, early C18 with moulded string and rails, turned balusters
and square newels with ball finials. The farmhouse was formerly an inn
c.1750.
