Aqueduct over mineral railway. c1830 by William Crosley. Sandstone abutments (rock masonry),
cast iron trough, some brickwork. Cast iron trough flanked by brick skew vaulting to arch: the outer
"faces" of the aqueduct are rock masonry. The single arch over the mineral railway line is
roundheaded with voussoirs; the raised keystone connecting with a plain ashlar band at deck level:
the embankment walls are curved: the coping is of rough rock masonry. Setts remain to the towpath.
NB Gates set within stone coping to canal sides.
