Hotel. c 1935. Built for Home Brewery. Steel frame and concrete. Flat roof with
cantilevered eaves and a steel balustrade. 2 storey. Main front has central double
doors in fluted tile surround. To the right a single storey wing, with 6 metal
framed cross casements and similar windows in the projecting corner bay window.
To the left 3 pairs of metal frame cross casements and similar windows in the
projecting corner bay window. Above a central projecting pavilion with a 2 light
metal casement flanked by small metal corner casements. To the left three 4 light
metal casements and a chamfered corner containing a narrow metal casement. The
symmetrical west front has a blank centre with 2 upper metal casements flanked
by single metal framed cross casements. Beyond to either side are doorways each
with a pair of inner glazed doors. Above 3, 3 light metal frame casements. The
ornate iron rainwater heads and square down pipes survive as do most of the original
awnings. Interior contains much of the original panelling and bar facilities.
