Cottage. Circa 1700 with later additions and alterations. Timber
framed with red brick infill; slate roof. 2-cell plan with central
baffle-entry; lower mid-C19 brick addition to left. One storey and
attic. Framing: square panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate with long
straight tension braces and V-struts from collars. C20 casements in
panels of framing to left and right of central entrance with
late C19 gabled eaves dormers directly above. Red brick ridge stack
immediately to left of centre. Interior: chamfered spine beam and
plain joists to right ground-floor room, which has C19 cast-iron cooking
range to central stack. Collar and tie beam roof in 2 bays with V-
struts from collars to gable ends. In process of extensive restoration
at time of resurvey (February 1986).
