Parish boundary stone : dated 1849. Ashlar sandstone block with a
semi-circular head with a well cut "M1849" on the south face and
"H1849" on the north face, marking the Macclesfield/Hurdsfield
boundary.
An identical stone stands at SJ 9328 7372. Part of this stone is in
the former Macclesfield Urban District.
