--9-- Rectangular slate with raised oval and flowers in the corners, to: Elizabeth wife of William Page d. 29th Jan 1707 in her 39th year. -Pale Death will hardly find (another) / So good a wife So k(ind a mother)/ In all her (actions so discreet/ As she who lies here at your feet)-. A distinctive engraving style with curls coming off the top serifs. The same hand may be seen in some Belvoir Angels epitaphs. Far more unusual here is the playful decoration given to the blackletter script of the poem. (Photo Mar 2014).
