A C18 house with a painted brick front. 2 storeys, attics and cellars. 4 window
range, double-hung sashes with single vertical glazing bars. A central Tuscan
portico projects on the front, with plain columns and cornice. The east side
has 3 window range, 2 and 3-light windows, double-hung sashes with glazing bars.
The centre window on the 1st storey has a semi-circular arched head. Roof tiled,
hipped at the east and west ends, with 4 hipped dormer windows on the front.
The east side has a moulded eaves cornice.
Cherry Tree Cottages, The Ferns, The Chequers Inn, Broadgates, The Church of
St Michael and All Angels, Nos 1 and 2 The Bishops, Cottage End, Burrells Cottage and Rose Cottage, Tighshee and Willow Cottage form a group.
