Boundary wall, piers and gate. 1871. Coursed and squared rubble
and cast iron. Ashlar dressings. L-plan. Curved wall has
stepped gabled coping. West gate has 4 square piers with
chamfered plinths, foliate capitals and pyramidal caps. Pair of
scrolled cast iron gates flanked by single wickets. East gateway
has 2 similar piers and C20 iron gate. Approx. 400m long. This
building is part of a pumping station which was one of 3 built in
the late C19 to serve Nottingham City.
