Early Cl9. 2 houses built as a single composition. Stuccoed facade with wide,
bracket eaves cornice and slate roof. 3 storeys and basement, 8 windows in all,
sashes with glazing bars and french casements to ground floor. Building consists
of a centre portion of 4 windows iron balcony with tented hood on ground floor.
The window bays on either side of this are recessed, with their top storey probably
added above porches on ground floor. Beyond, on each side, is a wing of 1 wide
3 light window bay with bracketed pediment.
Nos 1 to 6 (consec) form an important group at the top of the hill and at this
entrance into Lymington. This group is associted with the listed buildings on
Stanford Hill and on Priestland Place.
