Late C18/early C19. A terrace of cottages. Red brick with grey headers and tiled
roofs. Nos 1-3(consec) slightly higher roof line. 2 storeys and dormers. 1
window each, barred sashes with flush frames except to ground floors of Nos 1
and 9. Doorways round arched with solid tympana. Most with 6 panelled doors.
J R Hill, Stanford House (No 12), Nos 1-9 (consec) and Reedley House (a building of local interest) form an important group at this entrance to the town. The group is also associated with the listed buildings on Priestland Place and Highfield.
