1900-1, by C H Collett. Brick, faience and terracotta; slate roof with iron
cresting to the ridge. 2 storeys occupying the corner of Waterworks Street and
Lichfield Road. Ground floor with 2 pedimented entrances at the end of the
Waterworks Street facade, then two 3-centred arched windows, a pedimented
entrance on the corner, two more 3-centred arched windows and a pedimented
entrance to Lichfield Road. 1st floor with 2 windows either side of an oriel
window with an ogee roof on each of the Waterloo Street and Lichfield Road facades
and, on the corner, an oriel window with a spirelet. Interior. Public Bar with
excellent curved bar-back, much coloured and moulded tilework to walls of bars and
passages. Large Smoke Room with original seating, fireplace etc.
