GV II
Pair of semi-detached houses, early C19, incorporating earlier
elements. Red brick front, rendered brick rear, fragmentary
timber frame, plain clay tile roof. Central stacks front and
rear, that to front with four round shafts, cogged cornice. 4
bays, 2 storeys. Front has centre and side pilaster strips, 16-
pane sash windows, wedge lintels with key blocks, horizontal
sliding sashes to basement, C20 doors. 6-pane sashes to rear.
Interior (12) much altered, softwood side-purlin roof with queen-
struts, brick-lined cellar with re-used oak beams. Interior (11)
not inspected. The houses are prominent at the top end of Pye
Corner, closing the view from the East and forming a group with
(13).
