Canal bridge: C.1800 by B Outram for Peak Forest Canal Company.
Coursed, squared, sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings. Single
elliptical arch with projecting course at road level with plain
parapets continuing as 4 curving wing walls ending in square
pilasters. Walls and parapet have rounded coping.
Very similar bridge No.26 carries Redhouse Lane (q.v.).
