Coursed rubble with stone dressings and brick patching, some brick extensions.
Stone slate roof. The building has centre of 2 storeys, 2 windows and outer cross
wings, 1 with stone coped gable and kneelers. 3 storeys and attic. Traces of
C17 windows now filled in, some timber lintels to earlier openings remain. The

added in each gable, one round-arched, the other with flat lintel. Hung sashes,
some with moulded frames and most with glazing bars remain. Central chimney and
additional chimneys of brick. Possibly the original Strines Hall of circa 1650.
