House. Mid C18. Varied courses of squared rubble, including ferruginous
sandstone and millstone grit, with millstone quoins to lower courses and to
first floor at left. Stone-flagged roof. 2 storeys, one wide bay. Step up to
4-panel door with 2-pane overlight under flat stone lintel at left. 16-pane
sashes have flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. Ashlar right end
chimney has thin string and octagonal yellow pots. Right return has first-floor
horizontal sliding sash.
Wall adjoining pent extension continues to river bank, bounding garden of Butts
House; tall, with coping rounded vertical stones,flat stone lintels to low blocked
door and small blocked window, similar lintel to door to garden of Butts House
(q.v.).
