Stables and cowhouses. Early to mid-C19. Red brick; clay tile
roof with ashlar coped verges. North, south and west ranges enclosing
3 sides of a courtyard. 2:1:6:1:2 bays; central lofted stable range
flanked by low connecting links to low projecting gabled cowhouse wings;
stable range has 2-light mullioned windows to the 2 first floor bays
from the left and the second ground floor bay from the left (the latter
partly overlapped by an inserted sliding door) and a central ground
floor casement; stable doors to the 3 right hand bays and to the left
hand bay (the latter blocked) all with four-centred heads, tall 4-
centred carriage arch to left of centre with raised keystone;
2 lozenge pattern loft vents to right of centre and one hour glass
pattern vent to ground floor right; dentilled eaves course; each
connecting link has a four centred arch stable door; both wings have
2 four-centred casements to ground floor and the left hand wing has
a central inserted loft opening. Return wall of both wings is of 6
bays with bottom hung casements, and doors to east and west of centre,
all with four-centred heads.
