l832 (Burley and The Old Vicarage, formerly No 2 Burley Villas, built as a pair).
2-storeys. Shallow pitched hipped slate roof. Eaves bracket cornice. Stuccoed
front. 3 window bays to east facing front. Incised pilasters with Greek key
motif. Sash windows above with glazing bars intact. French casements with contemporary
tracery below; bottom panels of casements enriched with Greek key motif. Verandah
with trellised iron columns and canopy on ground and 1st floors. Main entrance
in north front. Interior has been little altered. Later addition of a chapel
at south end (since converted into a kitchen).
The Little Place and the north-east boundary wall, Rosehill and the garden wall,
Burley, the 01d Vicarage, the former stable block and the garden wall to Burley
and Old Vicarage, West Hill and the garden wall, together with the Roman Catholic
Church of St Michael and St George, and the Dorset Hotel, Pound Road form a group.
