II
Farmhouse, late C17, altered and extended C18, altered C19 and
extended C20. Red squared snecked rubble sandstone (with brick to
part of rear); grey slate roofs. Symmetrical front of basement and 2
storeys; 2 windows, L-shaped, with rear wing of 2 storeys right,
probably C18. Mid C20 flat-roofed single-storey extension behind
house; small stone extension right.
The front has Roman Doric doorcase with attached columns and pediment,
containing late C20 door, in keeping. 3-light flush-mullioned windows
of stone to basement; Gothick windows of wood and iron to lower and
upper storeys, some with leaded glazing; some iron glazing-bars
removed.
The interior is largely reworked. A stopped ovolo beam in right room.
