House, c.181O. Regency Gothic. Rendered brick on stone plinth.
Pitched slate roof, curved over bowed front bays. Brick gable end
stacks. 2 storey rectangular 3 bay house with mid C19 double gabled
additions to rear. Metal casements with replaced leading with Gothic
heads, to previous pattern. Original catches and stays. Some timber
casements to sides. Central front door with pointed head with 4
rectangular panels and 3 glazed Gothic panels. 2 semi-circular red
sandstone steps.
Interior: Hall with double arch supported on fluted central pier and
moulded side pilasters. Open string stair, with square balusters and
moulded sides, and reused Elizabethan bedpost newel. Stone and black
marble fireplaces with steel grates. Fielded 5-panel doors. Simple
moulded beam to ground floor, rear.
