House, formerly farmhouse; early C17, extended 1878 (on plaque in gable). 2
storeys, 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. Timber-framed and rendered. Asbestos
slated roof with C19 cusped bargeboards; C17 axial chimney of red brick with
saw-tooth pattern shaft, the plinth has an inset limestone mask of a bearded
face. C19 casements. The C19 extension to left is of red brick with gault
brick bands, slated roof and gable chimney. 6-panel entrance door, c.1878. An
ovolo-moulded mullioned window exposed internally at the parlour end, and areas
of good C17 timber-framing.
