Cottage, formerly farmhouse, C17 altered, oak small framing with
plaster and brick panels, rebuilt in brick at rear, with steep grey
slate roof. 2 storeys and 2 windows. Former lobby-entrance doorway
is blocked. Timber casements are replaced in probably largely
unaltered openings. Braces below eaves. Brick ridge chimney. The
small 2-storey rear wing (formerly dairy) is cased in brick probably
late C18.
Interior: A lobby-entrance plan with doorway moved to right gable
wall. Stair replaced late C20. 2 back-to-back inglenooks of red
sandstone have oak bressumers. A chamfered oak main beam in each
front room.
