House, now House and Shops. Probably early C17. Timber framed, plaster
rendered with hipped, reed thatch roof, coved eaves and gault brick ridge
stack. Two storeys, originally jettied to Market Street end. Three flush
frame hung sashes of twelve panes each at first floor. Three C20 shop
fronts, but the elevation to Market Street has a small canted bay, C19, now
blocked, at ground floor. Inside: c1730 panelling to two walls of centre
room and some reset panelling in room above. The framing is not exposed and
there is no internal access to the roof (see also No. 1 Market Street)
