--5--. One of the Belvoir Angel headstones, carved from Swithland slate by a local craftsman. rectangular with round-faced winged angel, to: Mary wife of Thomas Riley d. Aug 27th 1724 aet 40. Also Henry son of the above d. Oct 9th 1724 aged 7 years. Also Mary daughter of the above d Oct 14th 1724 aet 5. -Blessed are they that in the lord they die/ From their labours they rest eternally. (Revelation 14.14)-. The young children survived for only seven weeks after their mothers death. (Photo Jun 2015).
