Grand terraced house, dated 1875. R Norman Shaw. Fine red brick. Some carved.
Queen Anne style. Asymmetrical composition. Five storeys, attic and basement.
Four main bays, diminishing to three above third floor. Entrance to left.
Ground floor has two arches to left, one with entrance. Elaborate timber door.
To right first floor balcony supported on brackets, with blind arches below and
two timber oriels. Windows largely square headed with timber mullions and
transoms, some with inset Ipswich motif. Leaded lights. Cornices between
storeys. Central scrolly gable to attic. Elaborate pilaster treatment, carved
brickwork with Renaissance motifs. Interior not inspected.
