Detached house. Later C17 modified C20. Ham stone ashlar; plain clay tile roof between coped gables; stone slab chimney
stacks. Two storeys with attics, 7 bays. Dentilled timber fascia: mullioned windows of 2 lights; those to lower bays 1,
2, 6 and 7 being ovolo-mould in wave mould recesses, and the remainder hollow-chamfer moulded in plain recesses;
continuous labels to both levels; to upper bay 4 an oval window with carved stone wreath architrave, matching that at
the nearby Tintinhull House (q.v): to lower bay 4 a moulded cambered arched doorway with boarded door, the lintol
highly carved, and possibly C20; an open stone porch, with detached Tuscan columns on plinths and segmental hood, again
possibly early C20: to bays 2, 4 and 6 pitched hipped roof dormers with 2-light casements: all windows rectangular
leaded. Single storey extension of one bay to east, with triple-roll clay tiled roof and stepped coped east gable, with
matching hollow-chamfer mould window. Interior not seen. One of three major houses in the village owned by the Napper
family.
