Pair of houses formerly the school and school house. Dated 1843
on plaques over side entrances. Gault brick coursed in rat-trap
bond. Long straw thatched roofs. Symmetrical plan, single
storey range with cross wings to right and left hand of one
storey with attics. Two large ridge stacks with sawtooth brick
cornices and single octagonal shafts each with several flues and
moulded brick caps. Two canted bay windows with red tile roofs
and casement attic windows above, three ground floor casement
windows. Entrances to cross wings through closed gabled porches
with moulded stone three centred-arch and moulded stone jambs to
side lights.
