Burgage outbuildings, converted to Masonic Lodge about 1890. Perhaps C15
in origin. Rubble with Cotswold stone roof. Consists of rear wing of
Wychwood Lodge Cottage, part of the courtyard cross-wing and a southern
wing. Entered from through-passage of courtyard cross-wing, formerly by
Caernarvon-arch doorway to left of cross-wing. Irregular fenestration.
Interior: central open-roofed hall leading to lodge on right (south)
also open roofed with arch-braced trusses to pointed barrel vault, nail-
head decoration to trusses. To north of hall is the (first-floor) of the
rear wing of Wychwood Lodge Cottage: this contains 3 pairs of raised
crucks and a central corbelled and hooded fireplace. The south end of the
'chapel' wing is in cut and dressed stone with oculus and archway below.
