Lodge and workshop. c.1860. Ashlar. Shaped tiled roof with
decorative copper ridge. 3 ridge stacks and single projecting
gable stack to projecting central gabled bay. Outer stacks have
4 shafts, the others have 2. Stone coped gables with kneelers
and mannerist style orb finials, Moulded eaves band. Set on a
plinth. 2 storeys plus attic, 5 bays. The outer single bays
slightly project and are gabled. Central open single storey 3
bay arcade with keystones. Strapwork parapet over with 2 similar
orb finials. Flanked by similar single 3 bay arcaded porches
with strapwork parapet and inner doorway with double part glazed
door flanked by single 2 light casements. The outer bays each
have single 4 light casements. Above are 4 three light
casements. In the apex of each of the outer gables is a single
casement. There are 2 gabled roof dormers each with single 2
light casement. To the right, set back, is a single storey, 7
bay, wing. 4 two light casements, some lacking glazing,
alternate with 3 Tudor style arched doorways with hood moulds.
All casements have stone mullions and all, apart from the
dormers, have drip moulds.
