Rebel stone. Mid C18. Ashlar. Rectangular stone, 2 metres
high, being splayed at the base and with moulded cap. The
left/south side with defaced inscription said to have been
inscribed 'Here lies a rebel, 1746'. Marking the burial place
of a Scotsman who fell in the rebellion of 1745-6.
