Dated 1843 and occupied for some time by Cubitt during the construction of
Osborne House. Small 2 storey stucco villa. Plinth and band between storeys.
Low pitched gable ended slate roof with deep bracketed eaves to tall banded
chimney stacks, 2 each end. Over a centre the eaves are raised up in low pitched
gable containing a shield inscribed with name and date. Three windows, symmetrical,
the outer ones in slight projections through both storeys, recessed sashes,
glazing bars intact, cornices on block consoles over, fretted blind boxes.
The centre window has an architrave frame and gives on to an elaborate cut
and fretted wool balcony with canopy and splat balustrade supported on wooden
brackets. The central porch has chamfered columns. Frieze and shallow projecting
cornice. Door of 4 flush panels, 2 glazed. Single storey extension to south.
