House, formerly one with Shoo Cottage (q.v.). Mediaeval front altered C17
and C20. Uncoursed rubble, Cotswold stone roof extending from Shoo
Cottage, hipped to-right. 2 storeys and attic. The principal feature is
a heavily moulded C15 archway to right with the joist ends of a sawn-off
jetty over and part of a label. 2 windows on 1st floor, a 3-light hollow
chamfer mullion window to left and a C20 4-light metal casement to right.
On ground floor a mid C20 bowed shop window with glazing bars to left.
Projecting blind parapet wall to right to forecourt of Methodist Church
(q.v.). Long 2-storey near extension with reset 2-light monolithic 'ancet
window. Interior: heavy cross beams to front (West) room. Cross wing to
East of rear wing contains excellent early to mid-C18 panelled room with
raised and fielded panels, modillion cornice, enriched overmantel (but C20
fireplace) - this wing has to East a triple glazing-bar sash window in
raised flat surround with cock-bead.
