House. Late C17. Rubble brought to course, stone slate roof.
2 storeys, 2-cell plan with single-storey outshut to rear of 1st cell,
3 lst-floor windows. Ground floor has 2 large mid-C20 windows with
plain stone surrounds (out of sympathy with the building) either side
of central doorway with double tie-stone jambs and chamfered surround.
1st floor has 3 windows with double-chamfered surrounds with almost
square reveals formerly of 3 lights, 2 lights and 2 lights. Coped
gable to left with kneelers, lantern finial and stack. One other stack
to ridge. Rear has 3-light window to outshut and kneeler with crocketed
finial. Left-hand return wall has 2-light window (lacking mullion) and
small chamfered light to oushut.
Interior: Housebody has stop-chamfered spine beams. Outshut has large
principal rafter and chamfered purlins. RCHM (England) report.
