House. Probably late C17; altered and added to C18 and early C19; further
alterations late C20. Timber frame, mostly replaced by flint and brick; additions
of flint with brick dressings; left return tile-hung; plain tile roofs; brick
stacks. One storey with attic and 2-storeys (now one). 2 + 1 bays, the right bay
added early C19, C18 wing to rear left; C20 outshut on left and rear addition not of
special interest. Two left bays have central late C20 gabled porch with board door;
late C20 leaded windows to either side and to gabled dormers above; C18 stack at
right end. Added bay has blocked segmental brick-arched doorway on right and a
window to each floor on left, that to ground floor with C20 window as before, that
to 1st floor bricked up. Rear: wing has window on each floor and external stack on
right. Right return (addition); blind pointed-arched window to 1st floor. Interior:
original rear wall timber framed with brick infill, part knocked through; deep
fireplace with timber bressumer original right end; stop-chamfered beams, old
joists, old board doors. Included for group value.
