Cottage, latterly divided, now cottage. Late C17 with late C19 and C20
alterations and additions. Timber framed with painted brick nogging and
thatched roof, addition of painted brick with plain tile roof. L-plan;
probably 3 framed bays with later addition. One storey and attic, eyebrow
eaves dormers, 2 to west with 2- and 3-light wooden casements, and one to
east with 3-light wooden casement; gabled eaves dormer to north on C19
addition with 2-light wooden casement; one brick ridge stack to each range.
Framing: square panels, 3 from sole-plate to wall-plate; long straight
tension braces. West front: 2 windows, C20 two-light to left and C20 sealed one-light
to right; C20 lean-to porch in angle to right with boarded door. Right-
hand addition has first-floor one-light casement, ground-floor lean-to
square bay in gable end to front, and ground floor 2-light casement in
left-hand return front. Collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts exposed
in north gable-end of C17 range. Interior not inspected but likely to be of
interest.
