Commercial promises with shop to ground floor. Late nineteenth century. Grey
brick with stone dressings, slate roof. Three storeys and attic, corner site with
three bays to Chepstow Road and two to Westbourne Grove. Shopfront to ground
floor, set proud of facade, with Art Nouveau details. Slender standards, with
plate glass between, curved to corner and to sunken entrances. Upper storey has
polygonal corner turret, with copper dome and spirelet. Giant Ionic pilasters;
some windows arched to first floor, mullioned to second; two storey canted bay to
Chepstow Road, with gable over; parapet; mansard roof with pedimented sashed
dormers. Included chiefly on account of good surviving shopfront.
