Early C17 timber-framed building originally half-H shaped. The original front
faces North East and is close-studded with unstained timbers and plaster infilling.
Two storeys and attic. Five windows. 3 gables with carved bargeboards. Two
storey bays beneath the outer gables and a (renewed) oriel window on first floor
beneath the centre gable. Tiled roof. Casement windows. The South West front
dates from the early C18 when the portion between the wings are filled in.
8 windows. Red brick. The centre portion projects. Parapet with vases at
the angles of the projection and at the outer angles. Sash windows with glazing
bars intact. 2 massive red brick chimney breasts on South East wall. C17 panelling
inside. The house was restored in 1945.
