House, Shuttleworth estate property. In cottage ornee style. Plaques show
1879 and Shuttleworth emblem, but building is a reworking of an C18 one.
Timber framed construction with colourwashed roughcast render. Applied timber
framing to gable attics. Clay tile roof with bands of fishscale tiles, clay
decorative ridge cresting and finials. L-plan of one-storey and attics, with
single storey block to N. S elevation: 3 3-light casements with glazing bars
to ground floor, 3 gabled dormers to attic with 3-light cast iron lattice
casements. Gabled open proch between 2 LH bays, plank door. One brick double
ridge stack, one integral gable end stack, both with Tudor style pots.
Elsewhere almost all windows are cast iron lattice casements.
