Pair of Shuttleworth Estate cottages. Later C19, probably a reworking of an
earlier building. Colourwashed roughcast over timber framed construction.
Clay tile roof. Clay ridge cresting and finials. 4-room plan, one storey and
attics. 4 2-light windows within simple slightly pedimented surrounds to
ground floor, 2 gabled dormers with 2-light windows. All windows are cast
iron lattice casements. 2 plank doors, again with shallow pediments. Central
red brick multiple ridge stack with foliate pots. Gable ends and dormers have
plain bargeboards.
